Dr. Firpo Carr is a member of the National Society of Leadership Success (NSLS), the nation’s largest leadership honor society. According to their website, “The NSLS is an organization that provides a life-changing leadership program that helps students achieve personal growth, career success, and empowers them to have a positive impact in their communities” (click for website).
How does one become inducted into the NSLS? The Professional Leadership Institute answers: “To become inducted into the NSLS, a student must first be nominated by their school. If their campus does not have an NSLS chapter they can self-nominate through the website. To qualify for nomination, students must hold a 3.0 GPA and receive a recommendation from at least one faculty member (three is recommended)” (click here for website).
After being informed that his school had nominated him without his knowledge, Firpo hesitatingly accepted (he’s not keen on surprises) and was inducted as a member of the NSLS.
