Did Someone Say "Race War"?
Trayvon is still dead
(Sentinel, April 5-11, 2012)
Some believe the weary legs of a decrepit
Uncle Sam are straining under the burden of systemic racism and discrimination so prevalent in these United States. His knees
are close to buckling.
Part II of an unfinished Civil War--occurring over a
century and a half ago--appears to be imminent, so say concerned observers.
Shots killing Archduke Ferdinand triggered World War I. The shot killing Trayvon Martin rings
around the world. Instead of Civil War II, will it lead to Race War I?
following edited and condensed comments from bloggers on the April 1, 2012, edition of the "Huffington Post
Internet Newspaper: News Blogs Video Community" are enlightening. My commentary is interspersed:
‘Start Killing Innocent Whites?': ‘We will not get
their attention until we start killing them. The only thing police understand is violence. Justice is not what men and women
join the police force want.
'They are there for the violent rush one experiences
after killing another person. If they are eager to kill our babies it is necessary to kill theirs. Let
us die in dignity but let us die in peace.
'Don't shoot a woman
or a child and then call it a tragedy, have a community meeting to express your interest in community policing and return
to your old ways!'
Carr: During the 1960s and
‘70s the Black Panther Party and Symbionese Liberation Army have already had shootouts with police.
During this same time, the "Zebra murders" ("a euphemism for
Black-on-white slayings"), and East Bay killings occurred in the San Francisco-Oakland area. Killed
first was a White woman at a bus stop.
As a Black man came to her aid, she twice
cried: "I didn't do anything."
An elderly White man walking home was
next; then a White mother washing her family's clothes at a Laundromat; a White hitchhiker, and so on--"thirty
in all"; murders unsolved to this day, intones Thomas Peele in Killing the Messenger (2012).
In 1831 Nat Turner and fellow slaves went from plantation
to plantation slaying White men, women, and children, 60 in all. Trayvon is still dead.
Armed African American History:
"You should arm yourself, because it is your constitutional right to own guns. You can and should
get basic training in the handling of firearms and get a permit to carry." ‘We headed for a race

themselves in defense against racist White men in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1921.
were winning until they ran out of ammunition. Neither were they a match for the aerial bombs that
rained from heaven. Trayvon is still dead.
Failed slave revolts:
Here are the 14 suppressed major slave revolts: New York Slave Revolt (1712), St. John Slave
Revolt (1733), Stono Rebellion (1739), New York Conspiracy (1741), Tacky's War (1760), Gabriel Prosser
(1800), Chatham Manor (1805), German Coast Uprising (1811), George Boxley (1815), Denmark Vesey (1822),
Nat Turner's rebellion (1831), Baptist War (1831-1832), Slave Revolt in the Cherokee Nation (1842), and John Brown's Raid
Successful slave revolts: Here are the
three significant revolts that were successful: Haitian Revolution (1791-1804); Amistad, ship rebellion
(1839); and Creole, ship rebellion (1841). Trayvon is still dead.
Resolutions?: ‘This is a free country with some of the best protections against government
'Speak up! Freedom of speech ended the detestable institutions of slavery
and segregation. Your silver bullet doesn't come from the barrel of a gun.
'Get involved in protests! Write to newspapers and engage in dialogue on blogs such
as this one. The government and politicians react decisively to strong public reactions and opinions. And most importantly,
Carr: We have a Black President, a Congressional
Black Caucus, the Black press, Black activists, and Black voters. Trayvon is still dead.
Responsible Parties: God's enemies the Devil, demons, and demon-crazed
humans are ultimately responsible for blind racism.--2 Corinthians 4:4.
Satan is controlling and misleading the entire world. (1 John 5:18; Revelation 12:9;
Luke 4:5, 6) Since he and his works are impervious to man-made weapons, spiritual weaponry is necessary to defeat the
racism he inspires. (Ephesians 6:11-18) Happily, he is soon to be incarcerated.--Revelation 20:1-3.
Solution: God's government will bring "to nothing all government"
that can't defeat racism.--1 Corinthians 15:24-28.
Yes, Trayvon is still dead--for
now. But there's going to be a resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous. (Acts 24:15) And
then, Trayvon will be alive.
In the meantime, peace and blessings to all. Amen.
